Leeson Street Upper

The inner core of Dublin 4, shaped almost entirely by the Pembroke Estate — the Fitzwilliam lands that passed to the Earls of Pembroke in 1833 and were developed into the Georgian terraces and Victorian townhouses that line Pembroke Road and its surroundings. The Grand Canal marks the northern boundary, Baggot Street provides the commercial edge, and the cultural shorthand of 'D4' as Dublin's liberal professional heartland was largely forged in these streets.
